The Sri Lanka Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation held its Annual General Meeting on 30th March, 2010 and elected the following officials for a period of 4 years. The election took place at the Ministry of Sports and Public Relations.
Mr. K.H. Kapila Kumara was unanimously elected as the President and the first thing he did was to call his dear friend and God Father of Bodybuilding Mr. Paul Chua and said: "At last we won and we wish to be re-instated into the ABBF again which is recognised by the Olympic Council of Asia". We are happy and we wish to co-operate and work with the ABBF and WBPF with immediate effect......... The following officials were elected into office: 1) President - K.H. Kapila Kumara 2) General Secretary - Chandana K Aluthge 3) Treasurer - Ramil Perera 4) Vice president - 1. Anura Fernando , 2.D.N. Weerathunge, 3. Priyantha Gajanayake 5) Asst. Secretary - P.K.K. Chathyranga WBPF and ABBF is proud to have the Sri Lanka Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation back into the fold of ABBF and wish them great success in the development of the bodybuilding and physique sports in Sri Lanka. |
