Overall Men's Champion of the South Pacific Championships a first by the Kingdom of Tonga


The 2009 South Pacific Bodybuilding Championships were a tremendous success in that more than 40 athletes from throughout the Pacific Rim participated in the finals event which was held in Punaauia, Tahiti (hosted by the Mayor at City Hall). Participating countries included; PNG, Cook Islands, Samoa, New Caledonia, Kingdom of Tonga, Tahiti and Aotearoa.



Pictured is the Overall Men’s Champion Sitani Tautalanoa of Tonga (Under 80kg) who bested the winners of all the weight categories to win Tonga’s first ever Men’s Overall South Pacific Title.

Sitani is acknowledged by esteemed officials; Paul Chua, Patron of the SPBBF, Philip Hope, President of the SPBBF and Christian Pothier President of the Tahitian Bodybuilding Federation & 1st Vice President of the SPBBF.
